Tek başına ince bir uyku tulumu yeterince konfor vermezse çadır yerine bivak torbası kullanabilirsiniz. 200-300 gram ağırlığı olur.
Direksiz tek kişilik çadır gibi düşünün. Çantayı içeri alarak direk niyetine tavanı yükseltebilirsiniz.

@Özcan.
Evet bu turun profları hep bivak torbası kullanıyor..Yaz ortası olduğu için biraz daha cesaretliyiz gibi...:)

@birolcakir

Dear Birol,

You should only be receiving this email if you were accepted onto the sixth edition of the Transcontinental Race a few weeks ago in February 2018. If you have any concerns please email race@transcontinental.cc.

Soon you will be able to confirm your place on TCRNo6 by paying the first deposit of £150. We expect to open this stage to you this week. You will also be required to sign the rider agreement. This is a very important legal agreement between us, the race organisers and you the rider. It is very important you read this thoroughly and sign that you understand and accept the terms before you can race the Transcontinental Race. You can access the agreement (link) to become familiar with it, you will be given the chance to sign up to it when we open the next stage in a few days time.

We will also require you to submit details of your chosen next of kin as an emergency contact during the Transcontinental Race No.6. We ideally need someone who has access to email as will be sending them a copy of the rider agreement that you will have signed to make sure they know that you know what you have signed up for. It is important that you discuss your entry into the race with this person, please do not make this an unpleasant surprise for them. :)

Important information on CP order.

We have been debating the merits and concerns of mandating the Control Point order this year. In past editions we enjoyed the maverick bids of the odd few riders who chose to risk riding the CPs out of order but our final decision this year is that riders wishing to be entered into GC classification should visit each Control Point in order, Start, CP1, CP2, CP3, CP4, Fin.

Entry Fee
The cost of Transcontinental No.6 is £300 Entry Fee + £100 basic media license (if required). The payment due dates are as follows.
50% Acceptance Deposit £150 - Due March 2018
50% Balance - Balance £150 + £100 basic media license* (if required) - Due May 2018. £50 discount for own tracker applied to this payment.
You may have noticed that the entry fee has increased. This is because (link)(link) the company we use to track your dots, increased their prices this year. Mike’s passing has also meant the way we run the TCR has been necessarily restructured. The TCR is the most closely monitored and adjudicated of all of the ultra distance bike packing events and requires a lot of time, energy and effort from race officials and our team of volunteers. We are disappointed to have had to raise the fee substantially this year and we hope that you trust in our commitment to delivering Mike’s vision of a fair and honest race.

Media License
There will be more detailed information on the media license released in April 2018.

Transfer or Withdrawal of Entries
Your offer of an entry is for this year (2018) only, it is not deferrable until next year and in the case of solo riders is not transferable. In the case of pairs only one of the original applicants may be substituted and the starting pair must contain one of the applicants selected. Deposit and balance are non-refundable.

Look our for another email from us shortly with details of how to proceed to the next stage and confirm your place on TCRNo6.

Thank you and best wishes,

Bana, sanki gönüllü olmak istemişim gibi cevap maili gönderdiler. Büyük ihtimal yanlış geldi bu mail. Çünkü ben gönüllü olmak istemedim.

Be part of Transcontinental Race No.6

From the comfort of your own home or operating controls across Europe, we are looking for volunteers to help put on the sixth edition of the Transcontinental Race in the summer of 2018.

We have been very lucky in the quantity and quality of our volunteers in the past five editions of the race, without whom putting on this style of event would not be possible. Many past volunteers have also gone on to become indispensable members of our main production team.

We have a number of ways in which you can contribute.

From Home

You can help us with race analysis from the comfort of your own home at times that suit you (think of it as advanced dot-watching) or maybe you have skills and experience in creative media or research? We are also looking for fluent bilingual speakers of English and another language to help us with translation work prior to and during the race.

On the Race

Visit the race locations and help us en-route by staffing control points.

The Transcontinental Race No.6 starts once more with our friends in Geraardsbergen, Belgium on Sunday 29th July 2018. The race then passes through the Bielerhöhe Pass in Austria, Mangart Sedlo in Slovenia, Karkonosze Pass in Poland and Bjelašnica in Bosnia before finishing once more in magical setting of Meteora, Greece. Each control is chosen for its historic, geographical or sporting significance and is an interesting and/or beautiful place to visit in its own right. The Transcontinental requires volunteers to staff these controls and validate the arrival of the riders by stamping their Brevet Cards and recording the time. The most easterly control points are open the longest and so will require the most volunteers.
Transcontinental will aim to cover accommodation and reasonable meal costs for control staff. Selection priority will be given to those applicants who plan to travel with a lower environmental impact. In the past few years we've seen a number of intrepid volunteers cycle to our control points, one cycling from as far as Denmark to Montenegro in 2016.

Anything else?

Perhaps you have some specific skills or ideas that can benefit the race? Each year we get contacted by enthusiasts and professionals from a variety of industries, from media to software development. If you’ve got an idea, we’d like to hear it.

How to get involved

To apply please click (link) and follow the link to volunteer registration where you can log in or register an account before accessing the application forms. There are three forms, a simple registration form and volunteer agreement that sets out our commitment and expectations then two forms one to complete for volunteering from home and one to complete to volunteer on the race. We only gather information we need in order to be able to conduct the application process and you can access our privacy policy from our website.

We ask that potential volunteers carefully consider the information included in the application forms that outlines the various roles, responsibilities and time commitments involved. The application process will be open until 18th March 2018.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the TCRNo6, we look forward to getting to know you better in the build up to the race.

Best wishes

Juliana and Anna, Rory and Tom.
