With some interfaces of metal parts, grease is used on the clamping surfaces to prevent corrosion. Since carbon does not corrode, grease is not necessary, nor recommended. If grease is applied to a carbon part, the part may slip in the clamp, even at the recommended torque specification.
Before assembling a carbon part, clean both the part and its mating surface with rubbing alcohol and a shop rag; clean until the rag shows no discoloration
---------------------------
The only reason manufacturers tell people not to use grease while installing a seatpost, is because when the post is greased there is a greater chance of the post slipping, and then they go and overtorque the seatpost clamp to stop the slipping and KIA the post.*
Of course you should grease the bottom bracket. Grease won't harm the carbon fibre.
