Müzelik ile Cento Uno' yu kastediyorsan o bisikletin kanlı canlı ve çalışan ve test edilmiş bir bisiklet olduğunu söylemek isterim. Bisiklet Emmanuel Zonta tarafından tasarlanmış bir bisiklet. Ayrıca önce bisiklet terminolojisi hakkında biraz bilgiye sahip olduktan sonra bazı kanılara varsan daha iyi olur. Ne öyle alt bilya kapağı falan?
Hele şu "orta dişli koruma plastiği" nedir onu zaten hiç anlayamadım
Aşağıda Emmanuel Zonta' nın bisikletin yapımı sürecindeki düşünceleri ve imalat aşamasındaki karşılaştığı bazı zorlukları ve çözümlerini öğrenebilirsin. Tabi alt bilya kapağı falan gibi çok derin mevzulara dalan biri için bu tip araştırmaları yapmadan kendi dili ile bazı kanılara varıp "müzelik bu" demek daha kolay ve doğru bir yaklaşım.
Bu arada, şu bahsettiğin bilya kapaklarından benim Wilier' ımda da yok. Benim bisikletimde demek ki müzelik süs bisikleti. Öğrendiğim iyi oldu, birdaha bu bisiklet ile yola çıkmayayım ben

Bir de o alt bilya kapağı falan diye ima etmeye çalıştığın zımbırtının ismi "lower bearing cup" olur ama bu bisiklette ki gibi gömme (integrated) kafaseti yataklarda bulunmaz, bunuda öğrenmiş ol bari
"I am a 22 year-old student at the Venice IUAV where I am in my 3rd year of the industrial design program.
My studies at the University have led me to look at manufacturing techniques and creativity in a new way. So much so that one day, as I was riding my bike, I wondered how a wooden bicycle might work. Why wood? Wood is a material that captivates my imagination for its elegance and characteristics.
This thought became a personal challenge. I was not interested in a small scale model. I wanted to build a full scale operational model while capturing the same precision and beauty that I had admired in the Cento1 that Wilier once allowed me to test.
This would make it an even bigger challenge, but it gave me extra motivation.
Among the challenges was the anxiety I felt at the thought of presenting the idea to Andrea Gastaldello of Wilier. Wilier is an important name in the cycling industry, but I heard that Andrea is always receptive to new ideas, especially when coming from young people.
I had already made a wooden model of the Selle Italia SLR saddle as a present to Walter Milani, who shares my passion for cycling and has allowed me to follow a few stages of the Giro d'Italia.
He was the one who underwrote my request to Wilier.
Once Wilier management approved the project, I picked up the Cento1 frame to be used as a model for my work and I got started.
The first step was to select the right woods and the ideal technique to achieve my goal: being able to ride the wooden Cento1.
After lengthy consultations with some friends who are experts in wood-working, the choice for the frame was okume' plywood because of its strength, and beechwood for the fork because of its flexibility. Four drawings complete with cross sections and dimensions, and I was ready to go. Both the frame and the fork were built using several layers of okume' and beechwood; all the Wilier technical features of the frame such as interior cables, asymmetric chain stays, logos were carefully followed and made by hand.
I decided to protect the final finish with a very light coat of clear paint.
After 3 weeks, the Cento1 was finished and completed with Fulcrum Racing wheels, carbon fiber handle bar and Record components.
The test ride of my creation was an experience I will never forget. Once again "my" Wilier did not let me down! "
